How do I find / create a survey for my students?

I am trying to create or find a survey or questionnaire that I can use to find out my students interests in subject areas as well as their future careers. Maybe a website?

How do I find / create a survey for my students?
You will find a free career survey at this interactive site:

http://www.tctc.edu/career_survey/index2...

This is a free site that lists 42 careers and asks students to check those in which they have an interest and also has an interactive survey:

http://www.careerkey.org/cgi-bin/ck.pl?a...

You will find many other surveys by googling "career interest surveys" but most of the others charge a fee.

I feel sure you could get ideas of putting together a survey of your own as you read the questions asked on the free sites.

Depending on the age of your students, you may want to let them do some digging for information about careers on their own by using the Occupational Outlook Handbook, which is published by the U.S. Labor Department. You will find the latest version at:

http://www.bls.gov/oco/ Your school's guidance counselor will undoubtedly have a printed copy of this publication.

The students' choice of elective courses should be determined by their career interests, their talents, and their previous grades.
