How do i keep track of the performance of the marketing programmes of a retailing organisation?
First of all, What kind of marketing? Look at the retail side of the world there are so many sides to choose from. Clothing is a trend base market- a name, a style, season changes, even size of the clothing being offered at a business can affect the sales in certain markets. Electronics- there are many factors that can figure into that market- ie... market, buyers, credit offers. Then you may need to factor in local market competition and advertising for market. Specialty stores are good but must have factors to bring in traffic- no traffic means no sales. Location can all so market in a key factor for some retailers, are they building or going to build in that area, is it a growing market for not only your product but the products you may want to ad to the store. Hope any of this helps.
Reply:Study the principles of Direct Marketing. Apply them. Start by reading "Scientific Advertising" by Hopkins. Then read anything by Dan Kennedy.
Reply:If the Company is offered on the Stock market, you may track all quarterly gains and losses, with history evaluation and more in depth facts about the stability of the performances...et.
