Some of the screens are too long and i would like to copy parts at a time. I am copying images of a questionnaire page with different sections and need to know how it's done.

I need to be able to copy several different screenshots unto a word document. How do i do it?
Paste the screen shot into the document and click on it to select it. When the picture is selected the ‘Picture’ toolbar should be visible, if it is not, activate it by right clicking in the Toolbar area and clicking on ‘Picture’ from the menu that appears. Use the ‘Text Wrapping’ tool to change the ‘Wrapping’ to ‘Tight’. Use the ‘Crop’ tool to cut away the parts of the screen shot that you do not need in the following manner; select the button and click and drag the picture ‘Handles’ until the section that you want to cut off is ‘cropped’. You can also increase or decrease the size of the picture by clicking and dragging the 'Handles' (without the 'Crop' tool being selected). Insert your other screen shots and do the same to them and you should be able to line them up as you want them to appear in your document.
Reply:push the prt scrn button next to the f12 key and than open word and paste. take another screen shot with the prt screen button and paste it under the other screen shot. done, and its free.
or you can paste it into paint to change the resoultion.
Reply:You can use a screenshot program like Gadwin to reduce the size of the screenshots.
In most of these programs you will be able to screenshot either the "whole screen" or a "rectangular area" that you pick before taking the screenshot.
You could then just open a new word document, switch to the folder with the screentshot, select them all, and just drag them into the document.

Snap, i just handed in a research proposal titled " single parent families and their effect on children"
i asked the children of these home ,if living in a single parent household affect their education or emotional well being?
How would they rate their relationship with the parent that is absent and also the parent they are living with?
And how they would compare their quality of living to dual parent families?

The data is from a questionnaire asking 5 questions, strongly agree to strongly disagree. What would i do with the data to make it a graph or something else

The analysis of Likert scales is tricky (I personally don't use them b/c of this). You probably want software like SPSS or Visio to do cool graphics. Check this stuff out which may help. Good luck!

The most important thing in using Likert scale is that you should transform the data collected before using it. Your raw data (in form of ordinal measuring scale), should be transformed first to get interval measuring scale, by using MSI (Method of Sucessive Interval). and as in my case, the next step was using MDS to create my consumer perceptual map

Occasionally I get emails asking to answer a number of questions in exchange for making some kind of prediction or assessment on your life.
Ex: What's your favorite number, think of a favorite song title, what's the first image that comes into your mind when you read the world "blue", etc.
Sometimes I'll answer these for fun and then be surprised by the seemingly accurate results regarding my feelings or ideas of my own future.

How much evidence is there regarding the effectiveness of dietary supplements and additional vitamins?
I have just done a RealAge questionnaire, and, congratulate me, I am 78, but one of the rejuvenating issues they raise is taking supplements. Other people I know, those killjoy scientists, affirm that the impact is negligible. Anecdotes and websites, please.

The evidence is they are of no benefits, why not believe people who have data like scientists? Do you just want someone with no real knowledge to say ' yes they will make you live for ever'?
Excess vitamins for example, above RDA are not only useless but toxic!
Vitamin C in doses of 500mgs or more may be carcinogenic, other excess water soluble vitamins are peed out unchanged.
Fat soluble vitamins accumulate, Vitamin D is toxic to the kidney and Vitamin A to the eyes.

It's true that often there is a placebo effect from certain things in life, but it is also true that science cannot determine what works for a certain individual by doing a few widely based general tests and basing their evidence on this alone. There is more we don't know than we do and we need to stop listening to what we're told, because it all conflicts anyway, and find out what's right for us as individuals.

I got a postcard saying that I didn't send the questionnaire back. I never got the initial summons. I don't know if it was lost in the mail or thrown out but I can't go on the date they want. I'm pregnant and have a Dr's appointment on that date. I can't reschedule this appointment (or rather I "won't").
What can I do? I should be able to reschedule the jury date right? I don't have the original summons though.

The ideal solution, if you can afford it, is to hire two rooms. Unless you are from Beverly Hills High, you won't be able to do that. Having the music "on" for 30 minutes, then off for 30 would be a reasonable compromise. Promise the DJ the same amount of money as if he played all night. Impress upon him the desire of half the audience to talk. Reunions are not the same as dances or concerts. People (some people) want quiet time, to talk. Keep hammering that home to the DJ. If necessary, tattoo it on his forehead backwards and give him a mirror. Appoint a "Quiet time" monitor.
I hear "It was a nice reunion, but the DJ ruined it" a dozen times a year from friends and family.

For my 3rd year research project I need to hand out 130, 16-page questionnaires. Does anyone know what I can expect to pay for photocopying, per A4 sheet in black and white? My university repographics department charge 6p per A4 sheet, if I use an independent printers will it be cheaper than this?

Reply:Rather than asking technical-based questions, I think you should ask questions on the more emotional side. Ask what feelings a stirred by the photograph, what the viewer thinks is happening in the picture, or what the subjects might be thinking, that sort of thing. Ask what feelings a stirred by the photograph, what the viewer thinks is happening in the picture, or what the subjects might be thinking, that sort of thing. Can I be excused from jury duty if I am a stay at home mom?
I just received one of those jury questionnaires which means once I fill it out and send it off, I will probably be receiving a jury summons soon after. On the questionnaire it said that I can possibly be excused if I am a legal guardian and caretaker of a child under the age of 12. I’m wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation? Were you able to get out of jury duty?

Over the next few months I'll be researching and starting up a number of small businesses in Singapore. Some of these will be internet-based and some will be more retail-based businesses. Part of the startup process will be to reseach the market and I'll need some people to help out.
The kind of work I'm talking about would range from researching competition using Google, collecting statistics through government websites, and performing primary data collection through interviews and paper surveys of the public - things like asking people to fill in a questionnaire.
It's not glamerous work but can be very interesting, and could lead to something bigger. It'd be very suitable for a student in high school or university who has a bit of free time, wants to earn some extra money and work on something interesting. Is there any place to find people like this? Some kind of part-time job board, career center, university employment center, something like that?

In fact it is a double-edged sword so if you are rejected on this almost irrelevant medical condition on your record, you could appeal with full justification.
Essentially I see no problem and I would just fill it out and prepare for the course. It will be a great journey for you.

I can tell you from personal experience that being a graduate student is way different from being a college student. For one, I had many other "grown-up" things to worry about (bills, house, husband etc.) besides where to party on the weekends. Spring break means absolutely nothing to a graduate student because most have jobs and/or children. I also think there is more personal investment in graduate students, due to it really being a choice. Not that an undergraduate degree is not a choice, but it is almost understood that in order to get a decent job, you have to go to college these days.

A sample of 20 respondents chosen at random from a total population of thirty total is certanly more than enough, - IF, IF, IF Your Hypothesis is something like " I belive that x% of the 10th grade class at Yoo Hoo High suffers from Warts.

Yes. I think I'm obsessed with them. I thoroughly enjoy filling out all those little spaces and questions.
I'm kind of a perfectionist though, so if I mess up, I will more than likely start over. I fill out my husband's forms too...except that I pretend like I'm solely doing it to help him...well, I am, but mostly because I enjoy it too!
I like quizzes, personality tests, tax forms (weird huh?), doctors' forms, scantrons, and anything else that involves a questionnaire-like or form-like format.
I think I enjoy it so much because I like the satisfaction of completing each little section and seeing the end result...whether it be a completed form or an answer to a quiz!

Reply:i love filling them in. i used to complete all the consumer questionnaires that come through the door and if you tick that your interests include dining out and fine wines then companies send you vouchers for money off restaurant chains and stuff...the only down side is that you get loads of junk mail cos loads of companies buy the details from the questionnaire people.

Yes. I think I'm obsessed with them. I thoroughly enjoy filling out all those little spaces and questions.
I'm kind of a perfectionist though, so if I mess up, I will more than likely start over. I fill out my husband's forms too...except that I pretend like I'm solely doing it to help him...well, I am, but mostly because I enjoy it too!
I like quizzes, personality tests, tax forms (weird huh?), doctors' forms, scantrons, and anything else that involves a questionnaire-like or form-like format.
I think I enjoy it so much because I like the satisfaction of completing each little section and seeing the end result...whether it be a completed form or an answer to a quiz!

Reply:i love filling them in. i used to complete all the consumer questionnaires that come through the door and if you tick that your interests include dining out and fine wines then companies send you vouchers for money off restaurant chains and stuff...the only down side is that you get loads of junk mail cos loads of companies buy the details from the questionnaire people.

I tried using Access, but I couldnt because of the multiple answers, and some questions have more than 1 answer. I also tried Spreadsheet, but it got a bit messy and chaotic...

You can do this with both Access and Excel. Access would be less messy of the lot. It all depends on how you design you tables, questionaire etc. It doesnt sound too difficult at all. I dont think there is any special sftware other than this to do this.

So.. i conducted questionnaires with parents asking them why they chose that particular nursery for their children.Some parents game me 1 answer-ex: close to my home..but some other parents gave me 2 answers ex: close to where i live and by recommendation of friends. I want to know which aspect was taken into consideration for their choice of centre but how can i draw up a percentage if some parents gave me 2 answers! im confused!
The same happend when parents where asked to write numbers near the aspects which were taken into consideration for choice of centre. Example some parents marked three options with the number 1!!

The best way I can think to do it is by coding the answers with numbers. For example: parents that answered because it's close to home would be coded as #1. Parents that answered close and recommendation would be coded as #2. You will just have to seperate the answers into catagories and then assign each catagory with a number that represents the response.

How does jury selection work?
Six weeks ago I received a questionnaire in the mail regarding potential jury service. I filled it out and mailed it back within the 10 days as instructed, but have heard nothing since. I have no experience with the process; what is supposed to happen next? Is it normal that I haven't heard anything for this long? I just don't want to get in trouble for shirking jury duty.

If you need to get out you can ask for a different date, or go and talk to the judge and explain why it would be a hardship for you to serve. The odds of getting out depend on where you live and how difficult it is to get quilified jurors. If you can serve do it and you will probably enjoy the experience.

I am a third year psychology student and am curremtly doing my dissertation. In order to get as many participants as possible I want to submit my questionnaires on line and then contact potential participants through MySpace and other community websites to ask them if they will fill it in, but I don't know how to create webpages. 1) Who will be filling out the questionnaire?
2) What are the most useful ways to categorize the respondents? Do you want to observe what responses are most common in men versus women? One race versus another? Different responses from different age groups?
3) What questions do you need to ask? What do you want to know?
4) Are you trying to prove something specific with your poll results? How can you phrase your questions in such a way as to get the information you want?
5) Who will be looking at your results?
6) After the results are in, what follow-up research can you do to back up what you've learned from the questionnaire?

As a co ordinator, I have given a few people references but they have always been from a prospective employer that just send me questionnaire's to fill in. This one is different, I have to write about someone for an adjudicator. This is really important because his entire career depends on what I write so I want to make sure I get it absolutely perfect and word it correctly. The questionnaire is for a term project around 20 questions can be asked. Questions are to be on how women should be be portrayed in ad, as well as questions on how important it is to a consumer that women appear in ads.

I think that it will be helpful to both you and the ladies you question if you're a bit more specific. Have a bunch of different stereotypes available, maybe take a couple of magazine pages with you. Eg Lynx adverts make them seem crazy and lusty, most perfume ads go for a far classier approach, some like Nike show the powerful, competitive side and some portray them as smart career women, some are very motherly women shown looking after their families.
Armed with these examples, think about how YOU feel they'd affect a woman's perspective and go from there. Which do you think they'd find more flattering? Which is more insulting? Which are the most and least realistic? Rating things on a scale of 10 will also make it easier for you to analyse your results. Eg if 1 is flattering and 10 is insulting, someone rating a Lynx ad 9 would show they find it very insulting. This will give you an indication of how they think women SHOULD be portrayed in ads.
Similar techniques can be used to find out how important this is. Are you more swayed to buy a product shown by the type of lady you said you preffered in part 1? Something like that. You may also want an "anything else you want to add?" question at the end. Open questions like this are a great place for picking up quotes and raising a point that, although not many may feel, is still interesting to consider.

Yes you can, but it has to be within the confines of the Polls and Surveys section. Any questionnaire you post in that category may be construed as chatty, but word it very carefully so as not to aggravate the trolls.

Your district should have prevocational and vocational skill task analyzed assessments and questionnaires available, if you are a SPED teacher.

How do I get selective data from one word document to another?
for example... I have a template and a questionnaire in 2 different documents. I want the answers to the questionnaire to feed selective areas of the template.

Have you tried to select only the portion you want to copy [by clicking left and then holding it down while you cover the portion in highlight by dragging the mouse over it] on to the other version and then copying and pasting it there?

I am just curious. I am trying to put together my computer software training company and I imagine most people will pay with cash. I am going to market people in my subdivision by sending out a flyer and questionnaire.

The person that I bought the business from said she took about 10,000 a year in cash that she did not report. So you can too. Good Luck.

I was answering a questionnaire once and I came upon this question. My answer was dominant, however, when I checked the answers key, the correct answer was recessive.
Can anybody explain to me why this is so?

I agree with Ford D. The answer would be Incomplete dominance or Codominance . An example would be ABO blood grouping where A %26amp; B are both expressed in blood group AB.
