I need to be able to copy several different screenshots unto a word document. How do i do it?

Some of the screens are too long and i would like to copy parts at a time. I am copying images of a questionnaire page with different sections and need to know how it's done.

Thanks

I need to be able to copy several different screenshots unto a word document. How do i do it?
Paste the screen shot into the document and click on it to select it. When the picture is selected the ‘Picture’ toolbar should be visible, if it is not, activate it by right clicking in the Toolbar area and clicking on ‘Picture’ from the menu that appears. Use the ‘Text Wrapping’ tool to change the ‘Wrapping’ to ‘Tight’. Use the ‘Crop’ tool to cut away the parts of the screen shot that you do not need in the following manner; select the button and click and drag the picture ‘Handles’ until the section that you want to cut off is ‘cropped’. You can also increase or decrease the size of the picture by clicking and dragging the 'Handles' (without the 'Crop' tool being selected). Insert your other screen shots and do the same to them and you should be able to line them up as you want them to appear in your document.
Reply:push the prt scrn button next to the f12 key and than open word and paste. take another screen shot with the prt screen button and paste it under the other screen shot. done, and its free.

or you can paste it into paint to change the resoultion.
Reply:You can use a screenshot program like Gadwin to reduce the size of the screenshots.

In most of these programs you will be able to screenshot either the "whole screen" or a "rectangular area" that you pick before taking the screenshot.

You could then just open a new word document, switch to the folder with the screentshot, select them all, and just drag them into the document.

Questions that you can ask persons about single parent families?

im doing a questionnaire example how is the head of the household?

Questions that you can ask persons about single parent families?
Snap, i just handed in a research proposal titled " single parent families and their effect on children"

i asked the children of these home ,if living in a single parent household affect their education or emotional well being?

How would they rate their relationship with the parent that is absent and also the parent they are living with?

And how they would compare their quality of living to dual parent families?

Hope this helps a bit.
Reply:yes just tell them that your doing a project. you will find that most people will answer you. Most of the the mother is the head of household. Reply:How about this one?

Did you know that 95%+ of kids in juvinile detention facilities are form single parent homes?

Did you know that 85% of adults in prisons are from single family homes?

Did you know that kids from 2 parent homes are 10 times less likely to live in poverty? Etc etc.

Research your subject and you will see staggering statistics that will shock and amaze you.

What do you do with data taken from a likert scale?

The data is from a questionnaire asking 5 questions, strongly agree to strongly disagree. What would i do with the data to make it a graph or something else

What do you do with data taken from a likert scale?
The analysis of Likert scales is tricky (I personally don't use them b/c of this). You probably want software like SPSS or Visio to do cool graphics. Check this stuff out which may help. Good luck!

--- For Likert Items there is a special method. You begin as for any multiple choice item by giving the number of people and the percentage of people who marked Strongly Agree, Agree, Undecided, Disagree, and Strongly Disagree. But then you take an additional step.

--- The point of this extra step is that you can combine how people answered different items to get an overall response for each person, and for each group of people. This enables you to compare how two different groups answered the same group of questions.

--- To do this you calculate very simply what is called a weighted average response. Assign 5 points for each Strongly Agree, 4 points for each Agree, 3 for Undecided, 2 for Disagree, and 1 for Strongly Disagree. Add up all the points for all the people answering the question in that group. Divide by the number of these people.

--- Try to find interesting differences or comparisons between different groups of people. For more information on how to tell whether a difference in Likert value between two groups is big enough to be worth mentioning, see the webpages on statistics and experimental research. http://academic.brooklyn.cuny.edu/educat...

Reply:depends on what your aim of collecting those data. I used likert scaling as the first step to create consumer perceptual map. The most important thing in using Likert scale is that you should transform the data collected before using it. Your raw data (in form of ordinal measuring scale), should be transformed first to get interval measuring scale, by using MSI (Method of Sucessive Interval). and as in my case, the next step was using MDS to create my consumer perceptual map
Reply:The main idea of statistical inference is to take a random sample from a population and then to use the information from the sample to make inferences about particular population characteristics such as the mean measure of central tendency the standard deviation measure of spread or the proportion of units in the population that have a certain characteristic. Sampling saves money, time, and effort. and a sample can in some cases, provide as much information as a corresponding study that would attempt to investigate an entire population careful collection of data from a sample will often provide better information than a less careful study that tries to look at everything i think thats what you mean

How do those fortune telling/horoscope email chain letters work? They're sometimes seemingly accurate.?

Occasionally I get emails asking to answer a number of questions in exchange for making some kind of prediction or assessment on your life.

Ex: What's your favorite number, think of a favorite song title, what's the first image that comes into your mind when you read the world "blue", etc.

Sometimes I'll answer these for fun and then be surprised by the seemingly accurate results regarding my feelings or ideas of my own future.

Can anybody explain the logic that goes into designing such a questionnaire that could somehow be accurate to such a potentially wide audience.

I'm not sure exactly which ones you are referring to, but I have come across quite a few in my time.

Some can merely be numbers based, for example they may get you to pick a number, multiply it by something else, add or subtract another number etc... Then with your final number they can saposedly read your mind, but really the mathematical formula leads everyone to the same number.

The other ones are more psychological and statistical, working on the most likely answers a wide range of people will come up with. They will also lead you to the answer they want through what information they give you (visual/words), like advertising.

How much evidence is there regarding the effectiveness of dietary supplements and additional vitamins?

I have just done a RealAge questionnaire, and, congratulate me, I am 78, but one of the rejuvenating issues they raise is taking supplements. Other people I know, those killjoy scientists, affirm that the impact is negligible. Anecdotes and websites, please.

How much evidence is there regarding the effectiveness of dietary supplements and additional vitamins?
The evidence is they are of no benefits, why not believe people who have data like scientists? Do you just want someone with no real knowledge to say ' yes they will make you live for ever'?

Excess vitamins for example, above RDA are not only useless but toxic!

Vitamin C in doses of 500mgs or more may be carcinogenic, other excess water soluble vitamins are peed out unchanged.

Fat soluble vitamins accumulate, Vitamin D is toxic to the kidney and Vitamin A to the eyes.
Reply:there is little proven evidence to say taking extra vitamins is worth while as the body just excretes the unused ones anyway, there are meant to be enough vitamins and minerals in your daily diet, recomendations for extra vit are mainly pregnant and elderly people
Reply:surprisingly few relevant ethical studies of the benefits of vitamins for general comsumption have been done -those that have tend to be biased, from Drug companies. I have given trauma and surgical patients a geberal cheap prescribed vitamin tablet to aid healing, but they are not prescribed. A good varied diet is more beneficial
Reply:If i don't take certain supplements I have problems like painful periods and sore joints. I use good quality ones. As I am a cynic and a skeptic by nature I can honestly say this is not psychological. if i forget to take them away with me or sometihng i will notice a physical difference. I notice a benefit from cod liver oil, zinc, b vitamins, magnesium and calcium, also spirulina. I can say nothing else really gives me any difference that I can see. It's true that often there is a placebo effect from certain things in life, but it is also true that science cannot determine what works for a certain individual by doing a few widely based general tests and basing their evidence on this alone. There is more we don't know than we do and we need to stop listening to what we're told, because it all conflicts anyway, and find out what's right for us as individuals.
Reply:if you are having a normal varied diet then you should not need them.

If you think you are lacking in something always buy the most expensive you can afford.

saw this on UK TV years ago.
Reply:i am 29 yrs old and take a multivtamin on a daily basis along with some other minerals. i think the vitamins help me with my skin, hair, nails and over all wellness.

What typically happens if you do not show up for jury duty in Philadelphia, PA?

I got a postcard saying that I didn't send the questionnaire back. I never got the initial summons. I don't know if it was lost in the mail or thrown out but I can't go on the date they want. I'm pregnant and have a Dr's appointment on that date. I can't reschedule this appointment (or rather I "won't").

What can I do? I should be able to reschedule the jury date right? I don't have the original summons though.

Call the clerk's office and reschedule your jury duty date. Don't ignore. They can arrest you.

Call the courthouse.

What is the best computer program to create a Class Reunion Memory Book?

I want to include pictures, answers from a "what have you been up to" questionnaire and contact information. That's pretty much it, but I'd like it to look nice and in full color as well as spiral bound, etc. What computer program would be best?

What is the best computer program to create a Class Reunion Memory Book?
Adobe, definitely. Or, ask the people at Kinko's what most of their customers use.

While I'm giving advice:

The single most important thing you can do to insure a good time is talk to the DJ before hand. The people who never left town and see each other every week at PTA, soccer practice, poker night etc. are going to want to dance. The ones who did leave town and flew 1,500 miles to attend are going to want to talk, and they are not going to want to shout over the music.

The ideal solution, if you can afford it, is to hire two rooms. Unless you are from Beverly Hills High, you won't be able to do that. Having the music "on" for 30 minutes, then off for 30 would be a reasonable compromise. Promise the DJ the same amount of money as if he played all night. Impress upon him the desire of half the audience to talk. Reunions are not the same as dances or concerts. People (some people) want quiet time, to talk. Keep hammering that home to the DJ. If necessary, tattoo it on his forehead backwards and give him a mirror. Appoint a "Quiet time" monitor.

I hear "It was a nice reunion, but the DJ ruined it" a dozen times a year from friends and family.
