You may join storeonwheels in yahoo groups and place questions in the survey area...
Reply:You are going to survey your competitors? Whatever your survey is going to be and who the respondents will be you need to first lay out in very specific terms what you want to discover. I've seen so many survey not deliver what the client wanted because clear, concise objectives weren't developed. Beyond that there are numerous topics you need to address: method, cost, analysis, etc.
Reply:Your question runs all over the place:

1) You said you are preparing a questionnaire about openning a new restaurant. I'm not sure why anyone would do such a thing, but that's your "business" (pun intended!). However, you did not indicate what the questionnaire was for: what kind of food to serve? what style the building should be? how much should it cost? etc.

2) You said you want to ask "our" competitors; aren't they YOUR competitors???

3)Then you say, "as a new investor"! Why in the world would I want to invest with my competitors??? Furthermore, if they are my "competitors" (which they aren't, since, presumably, I'm not even in business, yet!), why would they want investors? The fact that they exist at all means that ship (i.e., the investment phase) has LONG since sailed.

So, without knowing what you're really aiming for (homework assignment that you didn't understand or have miscommunicated?), I'll stick with the "main" question, and say that that the questionnaire (which I wouldn't do, but you want to do it, apparently) should ask the general public about their likes and dislikes.

I know that was a long way to make such an obvious answer, but I wanted to make it clear that you were, well, UNclear! :,(

P.S. If you look at the most successful people in virtually any industry, you'll find that practically none of them had others help them, because they were independent thinkers. And they did not waste time with "questionnaires"! (again, if this is for a homework assignment, then that's a completely different story)
