As a business owner, would I be required to answer a questionnaire provided by the AQMD?

An Air Quality Inspector came by with a questionaire that he was *requiring* answers for. It included questions about our annual sales and what our sources are for some of the products we sell.

He wouldn't let us photo copy the form because he said it was a confidential document but he did allow us to write down the questions.

What should we do?

As a business owner, would I be required to answer a questionnaire provided by the AQMD?
As a business owner, I would contact the EPA and ask if this is necessary. Did this inspector actually conduct an inspection of your business? If so, what were his findings? Are you compliant or do you need to make improvements?

We have EPA inspectors who come in annually to see if we are in compliance. Not one of them has ever asked about our annual sales or for a list of our vendors.

Please keep us posted.
Reply:Find out if you're legally required. If so, do this stupid act and if not, tell him to go to heck.

I'm willing to bet that he's just trying to intimidate you and it's not required. Be certain that you stand up for your rights.
