What do you think about these personality questionnaires that employers are making part of the hiring process?

I don't understand what they have to do with anything and frankly, I find them really prejudicial. The questions are pointless and there is no way to know what answer they want. Any thoughts on this? Does anyone know why they exist and who writes them?

What do you think about these personality questionnaires that employers are making part of the hiring process?
i understand what you mean. My main problem with these tests is the way they are worded, and the fact that there is no chance to explain some answers. For example, I once took one of those tests and a question was "Have you ever known someone that stole something?" The choices were only "yes" or "no". No chance to explain how you felt about it. So, employers, should I answer truthfully with a "yes", even though i I do not get to explain how wrong I felt it was, or that I lie and say "no"?

welcome to the real world.

personality questionnaire are part of an elimination process designed to get rid of people who may be a liability to the company. Note the company is in existence to make a profit and does not need a PART that will be dangerous or not profitable to the company. Welcome to the real world.

you haven't realize yet - you sell your body mind services and spirit (no soul yet) at the highest price , they buy your assets at the lowest price they can get. Real world.

The tests are designed by high priced educated people with proven methods to get the right person for the right position/company.

they also protect you from going into a situation you would not be compatible with.
Reply:Haven't heard of that yet. But why don't you try owning your own home based business. See below....

Reply:Pointless? You just flunked.

Are you suited for a job in which you have to work with a lot of people, or for a job in which you are basically, working alone.

Are you best suited for doing a lot of things which take a few minutes, or prefer to do just one or two projects which may take a long time?

Do you get frustrated easily? if no, you may be suited for solving involved problems. Are you detail oriented? Then you might do better making sure things don't get screwed up.

Are you intimidated by authority?? If you are, you might not do well in face to face

contact with customers.

This is just a sample These tests will make up a profile on you to see what you do best, and worst.

They are made up by university faculty, recruiting specialists, psychologists, and most companies use them, and believe in them.

in most cases, there are no good or bad answers, just honest answers.

Good luck.
Reply:i just did an SPF16 one they say its o look at how you will fit in with a team and what style of training you will benefit from, they are really easy to fix just be objective with all your answers and it puts you in the 'as common as most bracket'
