How to estimate the size of the market of questionnaires?

This depends entirely on the topic of the questionnaire and HOW and WHERE you will distribute it. Or, how many questionnaires you need for your survey. Always remember that not all questionnaires will be filled and returned. If you need 50 replies, distribute 100, assume that only 50% of the people will return them, if more do then your in luck!

For example if you are at a university and you need 100replies then you hand out to 200 students (or email it to them). If you work in a large store and you need 100 replies, then you choose the departments that have the staff to cover more than 100. If you want to have an open survey, say like in a shopping mall, you should consider being a market researcher at the mall with your questionnaire, and assume the mall has 2000 shoppers per day. Not all of the shoppers will want to answer your questions, so assume that 20% may be prepared to answer, then you could work out how many days you would have to stay there to get all the replies you need.

Good luck
